Privacy policy

The short version

no/screen collects no personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Everything the app knows stays on your phone, and we never see it.

What the app stores, on your phone only

To do its job, no/screen keeps the following in the app's private storage on your device:

• Which apps you chose to lock.
• The IDs of the NFC tags and QR codes you linked, and their names.
• Your modes, open times and schedules.
• Your stats: time you got back, who it went to, streaks and how often you opened a locked app.
• Your emergency unlocks and whether you have Pro.

This data is never sent to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android settings, deletes all of it.

Permissions and why

• Usage access: to see which app is in the foreground, so no/screen can cover the apps you locked. It never sees what you do inside apps.
• Display over other apps: to show the block screen over a locked app.
• NFC: to read your own tag when you tap it. Optional: phones without NFC can use QR codes.
• Notifications: for the countdown while your apps are open and the heads-up before they lock again.
• Alarms and start at boot: so schedules start on time and locking keeps working after a restart.

no/screen does not use the Accessibility API, device admin or a VPN.

Scanning QR codes

QR codes are scanned with the Google code scanner, which is part of Google Play services. no/screen does not ask for camera permission and never receives camera images: Google Play services reads the code on your device and hands the app only the text inside it. See Google's privacy policy.

Purchases

no/screen Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; the app only learns whether you own Pro. We don't get your name, email address or payment details. See Google's privacy policy.

This website

This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, and like any website our hosting provider may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages. Links on your tags and QR codes point here; opening one in a browser just shows a page, nothing is stored.

Children

no/screen is not designed for children under 13.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. You control all of it on your own phone. If you have questions, contact us below.
